Do You Sleep Alone?

When I was pregnant with Slim and Joey and on bed rest for preterm labor, I slept on the couch by myself a lot. I couldn't sleep and would be awake most of the night, so I didn't want to keep Hubby awake, too. Plus, it felt so much better to sleep being propped up by lots of pillows.

I tried to focus on getting rest because I knew it would be the last time I could actually get good sleep for about the next 20 years.

And, of course, once the babies came, I was totally right.

Not only do little ones keep you awake when they're little, but they can mess with your sleep when they're a little older, too. Running into your room when thunder claps or the Boogey Man comes calling, it seems as if parents can't get a decent night's sleep.

Don't let the sweetness fool you.
