Around the Pond with the Frog~June 2014

June whizzed right by me like four hot firemen on the way to a bonfire. I went out of town twice - once on an anniversary date with my Hubby. It was just an hour away and just for the night, but we had a great time. It's always so needed.

My other getaway was to Baltimore to attend BlogU!! It was such a blast, and I loved meeting all of my online friends and making connections. You can read all about it here.

We marked the fourth crapiversary of our sweet Joey's death. Once again, my online friends showed up in spades changing their profile pictures to the name of my tribute post to him: Not Broken, Just Bent. It's amazing how people who you've only met once - or not in person at all - can understand and show up for you. It really meant a lot to me.

I wrote twice for Mamalode. This little piece was about learning to plant flowers, something I've always wanted to do and definitely think I'll continue in the future. This piece was me working out some of my nervousness about our upcoming move and meeting new neighbors.

Speaking of moving, I had a garage sale to clean out our house. Overall, it was a good experience. Yes, a lot of work, but I might consider doing it again someday. Here are some tips if you are considering having one.

Other than that, I was shuttling kids back and forth to camps and dealing with a flooded basement and a burned out microwave. Good times. Now my task is to keep packing and make our house look like six people don't live in it. Impossible! I spent all day yesterday cleaning out the room shared by my 10 and 8 year olds. Oh, Oh, the crap I found! But, you have to have a sense of humor about it, right?

Please do me a favor and check out the Etsy store of my wonderful blog sponsor, Woolies. There are some darling handmade toys and items available. Find her on Facebook, too, where she posts cute pictures of all her new creations.

Okay, I'm sitting at a coffee house all day to write, write, write and catch up. A super fun and safe July Fourth to all of my American readers!!
